Traditional Coatesville Parade Marches On Another Year

By

The Coatesville Veteran Affairs Medical Center is hosting a Veteran Resource Expo today to help them connect with other organizations.

With umbrellas instead of snowsuits, Coatesville residents welcomed Santa Claus and the Christmas season during Saturday’s annual parade down Lincoln Highway.

The singing of carols, shouts of classic and contemporary movie characters, and a diversity of music filled the air for the decades-strong community tradition, according to coverage by The Times of Chester County.

“Every year, my family participates in the 5K run prior to the parade, then we watch the parade as a family, and go home and play holiday bingo and other games. It’s a tradition for us,” the Butcher family was quoted as saying in the article.
