Local firm CertainTeed Corp. helped 10 veterans receive their own specially-adapted home during the holiday season by contributing to Homes for Our Troops.
Vicky Gallagher, communications manager for CertainTeed and author of the CertainTeed blog, says hers is a company with compassion. CertainTeed has made a multi-year commitment to the national non-profit organization, which is helping veterans rebuild their lives with gifts of mortgage-free homes.
Homes for Our Troops raises money and provides building materials and professional labor to coordinate the construction of adapted, state-of-the-art homes.
