Paoli Hospital Named One Of Best In Region By U.S. News And World Report

By

Paoli Hospital is one of four acute care hospitals operated by Main Line Health to be named the best in Pennsylvania and in the Philadelphia region by U.S. News and World Report.

The others named to the list are Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital and Riddle Hospital.   The newspaper’s annual “Best Hospitals” rankings recognize hospitals that excel in treating patients with the most challenging health care needs. Paoli was ranked the 27th best hospital and recognized as “high performing” in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, geriatrics, orthopedics and urology.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals in 16 adult specialties. This year Lankenau also earned a national ranking as the 46th top hospital for diabetes and endocrinology. Only three percent of the hospitals that were analyzed for Best Hospitals 2014-15 earned a national ranking.

U.S. News publishes Best Hospitals to help guide patients who need a high level of care because they face particularly difficult surgery, a challenging condition or extra risk because of age or multiple health problems. Read more about the report here:

The U.S. News “Best Hospitals 2015” guidebook will be available this month.

Main Line Health, founded in 1985, is a not-for-profit health system serving Philadelphia and its western suburbs.
