La Comunidad Hispana Hosting Seminars For Latino Entrepreneurs

By

La Comunidad Hispana in Kennett Square is again gathering some of the region’s top business minds to teach business skills to Latino entrepreneurs.

“How to Succeed as a Latino Entrepreneur” is a bilingual eight-week seminar series that begins Tuesday, Sept. 16 at La Comunidad Hispana.  The workshop will be given by the Kutztown University Latino Business Resource Center.

“The first series of seminars was successful last year,” said Margarita Mirkil, president and chief executive officer of LCH. “The workshops will give valuable information on those wanting to start a business or wanting to improve their existing venture.”

The first meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 16 at LCH, 731 West Cypress St., Kennett Square. Those attending will be given an overview of the course and will be able to register for the series.  The sessions will then be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday through Nov. 18. The cost is $50. Topics will include business planning, marketing, financial models, bank products, and insurance, legal and zoning regulations.
