Tax Breaks Lure Frontage Laboratories Expansion Out Of State

Money talks, and nearly $5.4 million is talking loudly to an Exton pharmaceutical services business being lured away from the greater Philadelphia area by a growing city across the New Jersey border.

Competition is fierce for a future Frontage Laboratories clinical testing facility in either Secaucus, N.J., or Philly, and without the extra $5.4 million sum extended by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority through its Grow New Jersey Assistance Program, the choice might not be so hard, NorthJersey.com reports.

At stake is 50 jobs and a 33,000-square-foot lab. Frontage has already set up a 30-person plant in Hackensack, N.J.
