Nation’s Biggest Yearly Gain In Assets Puts Vanguard In Top 3
A good last year for investors has made for a great year for Malvern-based Vanguard Group investment asset management firm, which saw the nation’s biggest asset gain of nearly 25 percent move the company up a spot into third in the Institutional Investor 300 rankings.
“In dollar terms, its $444 billion increase (to $2.29 trillion) is second only to the gain notched by the No. 1 firm, New York-based BlackRock, whose total jumps by $532.7 billion to $4.3 trillion,” the Digital Journal reported.
Vanguard’s ranking overtook Allianz Asset Management, which now stands at $2 trillion, and is within striking distance of No. 2 State Street Global Advisors at $2.34 trillion.
