Ricoh Introduces New All-In-One Copier, Plans Global Eco Action Month

By

The Ricoh Group, which has declared June “Ricoh Global Eco Action Month,” plans to turn off the lights on all billboards and Ricoh logo signboards at companies worldwide on June 5 to raise environmental awareness about conservation.

The event coincides with United Nations World Environment Day. The company is also asking all employees, including those at the Malvern office, to sign an “eco declaration,” showing their commitment to actively participate in environmental activities at home, in the community and in the office.

Employees will also wear green clothes and accessories on June 5 to mark the event.

In other news, Ricoh introduced monochrome printers and all-in-one printer/copier/scanners that give customers simplicity, power and superior image quality in a low profile, compact design. The RICOH SP 112 printer and the RICOH SP 112SU multifunctional print/copy/scan device have a profile of under five and 6.5 inches. 6.3.2014 Ricoh

Combined with their compact 15-x16-inch footprints, they fit virtually anywhere in the small business, home or medical office. These 16 page-per-minute (ppm) machines offer up to 1200 x 600 dpi resolution and can be set up in minutes with a simple USB connection.

The new devices feature an ID Card Copy mode in the RICOH SP 112SU that enables users to copy both sides of a wallet-sized ID card onto a single page for convenience and efficiency.

The RICOH SP 112 and RICOH SP 112SU are faster than predecessor models. Both devices handle larger paper (up from 8.5 x11 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches), and include a 50-sheet paper tray and an all-in-one print cartridge for easy replacement. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the printer-only RICOH SP 112 is $119, and the multifunctional RICOH SP 112SU is $144.
