The Malvern company Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has been gaining international recognition.

One of its transistors was recently named 2013 Product of the Year by Electronic Products China magazine. Also, Delphi Automotive PLC of Gillingham, U.K. gave Vishay two 2013 Pinnacle Awards for Supplier Excellence. The awards went to Vishay BCcomponents Beyschlag GmbH and Vishay Israel’s Be’er Sheva plant.

Delphi, a leading global supplier of technologies for the automotive market, recognized 22 suppliers from 14 countries with Pinnacle Awards.

The Product of the Year Award winners were announced in the February 2014 issue of the magazine. The magazine’s editors evaluated hundreds of products launched in China’s electronics market in 2013. They were judged on the basis of innovative design, significant advancement in technology or application and substantial achievement in price and performance. Vishay’s Si7655DN MOSFET was selected because of its demonstrated success in the MOSFET category.

Vishay is a Fortune 1000 Company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors (diodes, MOSFETs, and infrared optoelectronics) and passive electronic components (resistors, inductors and capacitors).

Vishay recently announced it would release financial results for the first quarter of 2014 on May 6.
