Rajant Corporation of Malvern, a pioneer in developing wireless Kinetic Mesh Networks, announced Sagar Chandra has joined the company as vice president of business development in Latin America.

Rajant Corporation, established in 2001 by Schena and Paul Hellhake, provides Kinetic Mesh Networking technology to the mining, defense and military sectors. The two men identified shortcomings in traditional wireless mesh networks used by first responders. They developed multi-radio Breadcrumb wireless devices and Instamesh software to keep companies and the military securely connected.

Sagar has more than 16 years of experience in managing systems for global mining customers in North and South America including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Barrick, Imperial Oil, Cliffs Natural Resources, Codelco and Vale.

Chandra was most recently services director at Americas for Geovia (formerly Gemcom) where he increased the revenues and utilization of the Americas’ services team. He was also previously North American general manager for Modular Mining Systems and increased its new customer base. Sagar holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Arizona.
