Devon’s Whole Foods Market Gives Generously To County Food Bank

By

Whole Foods Market in Devon is donating 32,000 pounds of food to the Chester County Food Bank.

The donation was gathered through the Feed4More program, in which shoppers were invited to donate food or money to families served by the food bank. In all, $31,920 in contributions were raised.

“It is wonderful to have partners like Whole Foods Market who share the same values and commitment to supporting our community by providing healthy, nutritious food to our neighbors in need,” said Larry Welsch, Food Bank executive director.

The drive was held Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 and the generosity of customers made Whole Foods the number 2 donor in the entire Mid-Atlantic region. The Whole Foods Devon team will volunteer at the Food Bank Feb. 26

The non-profit Chester County Food Bank collects, grows, processes, stores and distributes food to 33 food cupboards and 60 meal sites across Chester County.
