Behavioral Health Coach

The Behavioral Health Coach, based at TLC Wellness in Audubon, provides structured, goal-oriented coaching to individuals and families across the lifespan.

This role focuses on skill development, behavior change, and real-world functioning, while maintaining clear boundaries from clinical therapy services.  

Coaches may work within one or more specialty areas including executive functioning, parent coaching, emotional regulation, school-related challenges, life transitions, and neurodiversity support.

Areas of Focus (Based on Experience & Interest):

  • Executive functioning (organization, planning, time management).
  • ADHD and neurodiversity support.
  • Parent coaching and caregiver support.
  • School and academic functioning.
  • Emotional regulation and coping skill development (non-clinical).
  • Life transitions (college, career, independence).
  • Social skills and communication.
  • Behavior support and routine development.

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching & Skill Development:

  • Provide 1:1 coaching to children, adolescents, and/or adults based on area of expertise.
  • Support clients in setting goals, building routines, and improving follow-through.
  • Teach practical, actionable strategies to improve daily functioning and independence.
  • Help clients apply skills learned in therapy or evaluations into real-world settings.

Parent & Family Support:

  • Provide coaching to parents/caregivers on structure, consistency, and behavior strategies.
  • Support family systems in implementing sustainable routines and expectations.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with therapists, evaluators, and other providers within TLC Wellness.
  • Maintain clear role boundaries between coaching and clinical services.
  • Participate in team communication and care coordination as appropriate.

Documentation:

  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of coaching goals, sessions, and progress.
  • Track outcomes and adjust coaching approach as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Required: Certification in coaching (ICF or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or families in behavioral health or educational settings.
  • Strength-based, practical, and action-oriented approach.
  • Ability to balance support with accountability.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred:

  • Experience with neurodiverse populations (ADHD, learning differences, autism).
  • Experience with parent coaching or family work.
  • Experience in school systems or educational support.

Role Clarity:

This position provides coaching and skill-building support, not therapy. Coaches do not diagnose or provide clinical treatment, but may work alongside clinical services to support functional progress.

Special Education Teacher–Chester Upland School District

The Special Education Teacher works with students who have a wide range of socioemotional and mental health needs and/or learning disabilities.

The Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students, evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives, and follows PA mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.

The Special Education Teacher must be able to work in a team environment with other educators, special education staff, counselors, and social workers.

The Special Education Teacher should possess a high degree of authenticity, kindness, and empathy while effectively maintaining an environment conducive to academic and socioemotional growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with students in grades 7-12 who have a wide variety of socioemotional and mental health needs and/or learning disabilities.
  • Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans.
  • Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student’s abilities.
  • Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one.
  • Assess student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
  • Establish and maintain student control and discipline in the classroom, school premises or during school activities.
  • Employ and implement a classroom structure to encourage student responsibility, cooperation and mutual respect consistent with school policies and procedures.
  • Provide consultation to classroom teachers regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, adaptive equipment, behavior modification plans and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students to include: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals.
  • Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress.
  • Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress and goals.
  • Discuss student’s progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
  • Employ various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals.
  • Provide research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP.
  • Coordinate the delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP.
  • Supervise and mentor other teachers who work with special education students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and social workers to accommodate students’ needs.
  • Meet with parents, school administrators, and counselors to discuss updates and changes to the IEPs.
  • Schedule team meetings and work cooperatively with child study team members and others to develop instructional goals and strategies.
  • Collaborate and consult with educational professionals and community service providers (i.e., social services, public health, medical providers etc.) regarding the needs of students.
  • Complete all district and state reporting requirements.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

  • Knowledge and experience with IEP software.
  • Strong substance abuse intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to access community resources.

Outpatient Therapist

As an Outpatient Therapist at TLC Wellness in Audubon, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services to individuals, families, and children across a range of presenting concerns. Clinicians conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions that support meaningful clinical progress.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans based on client goals and clinical
presentation.
• Provide evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to client needs.
• Maintain a consistent outpatient caseload • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically indicated.

Specialty Opportunity – First Responder Mental Health

TLC Wellness is interested in expanding services for first responders, including law enforcement, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other public safety professionals. Clinicians with experience or specialized training in this population are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Providing outpatient therapy for first responders experiencing trauma, burnout, anxiety, depression, and occupational stress.
  • Utilizing trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, EMDR, exposure-based work) tailored to high-stress professions.
  • Helping shape the future structure of first responder services within TLC Wellness.
  • Building relationships with local departments, unions, and community organizations.
