Located just a few minutes from New Hope, the Carversville Inn is a cozy boutique hotel with a delicious restaurant located in a 200-year-old building, writes Regan Stephens for Travel + Leisure.
Over the years, the 1813 Federal-style building has housed a tavern, an ice cream parlor, a general store, a gas station, and a restaurant. When Milan Lint and Mitch Berlin purchased the property in 2020, they had a new vision for the space.
“It was always a dream of ours to own a little boutique inn or hotel where we pick and choose all the things that we really love, and bring them together in one place,” said Berlin.
The pair spent years completely renovating the building and reconfiguring the layout before the inn finally opened in May 2025. The new space features six guest rooms, a 65-seat restaurant, and a full bar for guests to enjoy.
“This place—it’s old, small, it’s like a jewel box—but it’s a fun jewel box,” said Berlin. “Here’s this old building in Pennsylvania. The last thing you expect is this little Parisian boutique jewel box.”
The rooms are inviting and spacious, and the restaurant offers a range of classic French cuisine and an assortment of drinks that pair perfectly with each dish.
