Here are four local spots where you can enjoy authentic Mexican appetizers, mains, drinks, and desserts.
Al Pastor—Exton. Al Pastor offers a full menu of traditional favorites, including tacos, burritos, fajitas, and nachos. The spot also offers weekly deals and specials: Taco Tuesdays feature $3 chips and salsa, $4 build-your-own tacos, and $6 sangria, and discounted drinks can be found during Happy Hour every weekday from 4-6 PM.
El Ranchero—Kennett Square. Offering authentic Mexican food in the heart of Kennett Square, El Ranchero offers an extensive menu with everyday staples and rotating specials. Appetizers include mini taquitos and chorizo queso, and entrees include tortas, enchiladas, house cuts, and platters.
Taco Mar—West Chester. The winner of Main Line Today’s Best of the Main Line & Western Suburbs Award for “Best Tacos” in 2025, Taco Mar offers a diverse menu with tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, with desserts including churros, flan, and fried ice cream. The spot also offers additional locations in Downingtown, Malvern, and Chadds Ford.
Buena Vista Restaurant & Cantina—Wayne. A family-run chain for over 15 years, Buena Vista features classic dishes using traditional family recipes. Menu items include crab soup, homemade guacamole, and chipotle chicken. The chain also offers additional locations in Malvern and Ardmore.
