Shane Gillis Signs Netflix Deal, Continues Production on West Chester-Inspired ‘Tires’

As production begins on season three of ‘Tires’, comedian Shane Gillis signed an overall deal with Netflix to develop new projects.

Famed comedian Shane Gillis has signed an overall deal with Netflix to continue his Chester County-inspired series Tires, writes Joe Otterson for Variety.

In a recent statement with his producing partner John McKeever, the duo shared that they are excited to develop projects with Netflix through the recent deal. In addition to Tires, the team will develop films and series, as well as two new stand-up comedy specials for Gillis.

The news of the deal comes as production begins on season three of Tires, Gillis’ series following a family-run auto repair shop in West Chester. He both produces and stars in the series.

After first airing in 2024, the show was renewed for its third season last summer.

About the deal with Netflix, Gillis and McKeever said, “Working with Netflix is great, and it’ll be cool to shoot season three of Tires soon. Netflix has been nothing but creatively supportive of us.”

Originally from Mechanicsburg, his Chester County roots inspire much of his writing and stand-up. He graduated from West Chester University with a degree in history and returned to the borough to film.

Gillis’ love for the Philadelphia suburbs is set to continue as he films his largest stand-up special yet at Lincoln Financial Field this July.
