2026 Edition of ‘What’s So Cool About Manufacturing’ Contest Inspires Students to Learn Real-World Skills

'What’s So Cool About Manufacturing' contest returns for 2026 with Chester and Delaware County schools competing and learning about manufacturing.

The “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” contest for Pennsylvania’s Chester and Delaware Counties has announced the 2026 edition of its annual video competition.

Nine local school teams, each paired with a manufacturing company partner, create two-minute videos that illustrate innovation, technology, and career opportunities in manufacturing. Manufacturing partners include Aerzen USA, ANRO, CPV Manufacturing, Lavazza, educators, families, and other community stakeholders.

The career awareness program, produced by the Manufacturing Alliance of Chester and Delaware Counties, an initiative of the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC), centers on introducing middle school students to exciting manufacturing career pathways, while also giving them the added bonus of learning digital storytelling, video production, editing, and marketing skills.

The public is invited to vote for the Viewers’ Choice Award, from March 18 to March 20. An in-person award ceremony will follow on April 23, with Drew Anderson, FOX 29 News meteorologist, as emcee.

The in-person award ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in The Conference Center at Penn State Great Valley in Malvern.

Learn more about the program and get ready to vote at What’s So Cool About Manufacturing.
