A historic year is coming to one of the Delaware Valley’s most important Revolutionary War landmarks.

In 2026, Valley Forge National Historical Park will host a year of events marking two milestones. The nation’s 250th birthday and the 50th anniversary of Valley Forge becoming a national park.

Helping bring those celebrations to life is a major local partnership.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach REALTORS will serve as the premier sponsor of Valley Forge Park Alliance’s America250 and VF50 celebrations throughout the year.

The sponsorship will support a series of public programs and events designed to highlight Valley Forge as one of the most significant historic sites in the United States. The park tells the story of the Continental Army’s winter encampment during the American Revolution and remains a place where visitors connect with the nation’s founding history.

The Valley Forge Park Alliance, the nonprofit philanthropic partner of the park, is organizing the yearlong celebration. The organization works to preserve the park’s historic landscape while creating educational programs, events, and volunteer opportunities for the public.

The celebration begins April 22 with a special anniversary program focused on the Pennsylvania Piedmont Plateau. Ecologist and conservation biologist Roger Latham will explore the geology and ecology that shape the wild landscapes of southeastern Pennsylvania. The program is presented in partnership with Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens and Penn State Great Valley.

Additional events are planned throughout the year. On May 12, historian Emily Sneff will discuss her book about the Declaration of Independence and the moment it first became news in 1776.

The celebration will continue on July 4 with a public event at the park’s Maurice Stephens House featuring readings of the Declaration of Independence, storytelling, live music, and food.

Fox & Roach CEO Larry Flick V said the partnership reflects the company’s long connection to the region. As Fox & Roach celebrates its 140th anniversary, the company looks forward to helping more families and visitors experience the park’s natural beauty and educational programs during this historic year.

For residents across Montgomery County and the greater Philadelphia region, 2026 will offer new opportunities to experience Valley Forge and reflect on the history that shaped the nation.
