For the third consecutive year, S&T Bank is supporting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) through its Share a Smile Day community initiative.
The Bank will host the fundraising event on Feb. 27, with collections being taken at 14 branch locations across its operating footprint. Donations can be made in person or online. Funds raised will support CHOP’s Children’s Fund, and S&T team members will be distributing handouts that can be written on to proudly display donor names and/or special dedications. Additionally, Bank employees had the opportunity to purchase personalized Share a Smile Day t-shirts with proceeds also benefiting the fundraiser.
Annually, this event serves as a tangible example of the Bank’s people-forward purpose and dedication to serving as a community-minded Bank in the areas it serves.
S&T Chief Consumer and Business Banking Officer, Jason Forman, speaks to the positive impact this day has on the surrounding communities, stating, “We’re proud to continue making people our purpose by supporting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and helping provide care to children and families in need. Share a Smile Day is something we look forward to each year, and it’s amazing to witness the shared, powerful commitment our employees, customers, and community members have for helping others.”
CHOP is a non-profit hospital that depends on philanthropic partners to be able to provide vital care to children and the needed support to their families. Bridget Welz, Director of Cause Marketing at CHOP, expressed her appreciation for the partnership, saying, “We are deeply grateful for S&T Bank’s continued commitment to those in our care. Their Share a Smile Day helps ensure that CHOP’s Children’s Fund can meet the most urgent needs of our patients and families, today and into the future.”
The event will take place in Chester, Philadelphia, and Delaware counties. Find an S&T Share a Smile Day participating branch near you here, and find more information about CHOP here.
