In light of a disappointing loss for the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s time for some retail therapy. Here are two stores where you can pick up sports gear to remind yourself of happier times and bright futures ahead (we hope), writes Laura Swartz for Philadelphia Magazine.
While there are plenty of online retailers pushing out Philadelphia sports accessories, many small businesses and side hustlers are working to bring creativity and meaning back when it comes to representing your team.
Jawn Supply in West Chester is one of the best names in the game, having started as a thrifting experience by owner Ben Rowe that now supplies gear to greats such as Saquon Barkley, Brandon Graham, Reed Blankenship, Jalen Hurts, and more.
You can find anything from vintage Kelly Green crewnecks and t-shirts to one-of-a-kind jackets and sweaters. It’s full of Eagles clothes for every fan, even tiny ones needing their first jersey.
Just around the corner in West Chester, Shibe Vintage Sports shares space inside Wheelhouse. Shibe has another location in Wayne, and a few more around the region. Nostalgia hits hard with every article of clothing, reminding fans of football seasons past and appreciation for artistic designs.
Their unique t-shirts are made with art from local creators, and the assistance of a screen printer.
Go Birds! See you next season.
