Healthgrades, one of the most widely used platforms for finding doctors and hospitals in the United States, named Chester County Hospital in West Chester among America’s 50 Best Hospitals for 2026, according to a new report released by Healthgrades.
Healthgrades evaluated hospitals based on patient outcomes, assessing clinical performance at roughly 4,500 hospitals across more than 30 common procedures and conditions.
“This year’s America’s Best Hospitals list gives patients a clearer picture of where high-quality care is delivered most consistently, helping them understand their options and feel confident in choosing the care that’s right for them,” said Dr. Alana Biggers, MPH, medical advisor at Healthgrades.
Chester County Hospital is included in the top 50 list in both 2025 and 2024.
The hospital has an 83 percent Patient Experience Rating on the platform, which is 17 percent higher than the national average.
Most patients reported positive experiences, with 62 percent saying staff always explained medicines, 83 percent praising nurses for listening and explaining well, and 79 percent feeling the same about doctors. 68 percent reported receiving help quickly from staff, 87 percent being given clear discharge information, and 55 percent commending staff for understanding their care needs after leaving the hospital.
