New Local Businesses Thrive in Berwyn

From grocery stores to fitness studios, Berwyn businesses new and old are transforming the village as the calendar moves into 2026.

A diverse range of new Berwyn businesses are helping the historic village thrive in 2026, writes Anne E. Hill for Main Line Today.

Both large retailers and independent businesses have grown throughout town in recent months. From coffee shops to fitness studios to pet groomers, local spots make for the perfect day trip to downtown Berwyn.

After months of excitement, the Berwyn Trader Joe’s debuted last November just in time for holiday cooking. In the months since opening, the store stays bustling with shoppers making the most of the beloved chain’s new location.

Newly opened LIFT Strength & Wellness provides fitness plans and personalized health coaching. The studio offers plans specifically catered to women, including menopause coaching.

Pet groomer Haus of Paws recently moved from Devon to offer grooming and an upcoming doggie daycare this summer.

One of the most anticipated Berwyn businesses is Parlor Doughnuts, scheduled to open this March. As downtown Berwyn’s first true coffee shop, Parlor Doughnuts will serve coffee, donuts, pastries, breakfast and sandwiches and more in just a few short months.

The menu features classic and experimental donut flavors, including maple bacon, honey glazed, and French toast.
