A newlywed couple who originally met at West Chester University recently hosted their stunning wedding at Parkesburg’s Beale Manor, writes Gina Lizzo for The Hunt Magazine.
At their Dec. 7 ceremony, Connor Sensenig and Lauren Longhi wed in a close-knit ceremony complete with festive holiday décor. About ninety guests gathered for a timeless wedding in the warm, elegant venue.
As she planned most of the wedding herself, Lauren aimed for a joyous day perfect for celebrating with family. About her inspiration, Longhi said, “I come from a big Italian family, and I wanted it to feel like a typical party that’s full of love, laughter, and memories.”
Longhi walked down the aisle to Camille Saint-Saëns’ “The Swan.” The Longhi family tradition of playing Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” after large events continued as the reception began winding down.
Sensenig and Longhi originally met in an education class at WCU. After Longhi first tried to set Sensenig up with a friend, the couple eventually began dating, with Sensenig later proposing in 2023 at Acadia National Park in Maine.
Both are teachers, with Lauren teaching middle school choir and Connor teaching high school English.
After a beautiful day celebrating the happy couple, the wedding ended with a digital camera passed around to guests, music by Dancinfool Show Services, and wedding cake from Ephrata’s Bethany Bakes.
