Chester County is alive with energy, from fast-growing biotech labs and cutting-edge manufacturing firms to lively hospitality scenes and forward-thinking schools. Behind this energy are the young professionals, entrepreneurs, and community-minded individuals who quietly build, innovate, and give back.
That’s exactly what the VISTA NextGen Superstars program celebrates. Each year, the initiative honors outstanding individuals under 40 — rising leaders whose drive, creativity, and community spirit are shaping the future of Chester County.
If you know someone whose work or volunteerism is making a real difference — whether they run a small business, lead a nonprofit, mentor youth, or innovate in their field — now’s the time to shine a spotlight on them. Nominations for the 2026 class are open until Jan. 23.
To qualify, nominees must be 39 or younger (as of April 30, 2026) and either live, work, or study in Chester County. Self-nominations are welcome, too. Past Superstars have launched nonprofits, led change in local industries, mentored the next generation, and helped build stronger communities across the region.
The winners will be announced starting the week of Feb. 10, and their profiles will be published beginning March 2. The Awards Reception & Celebration is slated for Thursday, April 30 at the Penn State Great Valley Conference Center. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Chester County OIC, a Coatesville-based nonprofit dedicated to adult education and workforce development.
Take a moment. Think of someone who’s quietly, or not-so-quietly, building a better future for our county. Nominate them. Let’s celebrate the next generation of leaders who are doing more than just building careers. They’re helping build stronger communities.
