From organizing Easter supplies to building book libraries, corporate volunteer teams from PNC and WSFS are rolling up their sleeves to help Partners in Outreach deliver hope, opportunity, and literacy support to children across Chester County.
WSFS Bank: ‘It’s All Hands In’
Volunteers from WSFS gathered recently for their third annual We Stand for Service Day to help sort and organize supplies that fuel Partners in Outreach programs all year long — from Easter Baskets to Summer Splash. For many employees, the opportunity to give back made a lasting impact.
“As volunteers organize supplies that will support programs throughout the year, it’s a rewarding feeling that comes from knowing your time and effort will have a direct, tangible impact on people in our communities,” said Adam Cornacchio, Vice President, Regional Sales Manager for WSFS Mortgage As we sorted and organized the supplies, our team wasn’t just looking at books or clothes; we saw the faces of the children and families who would benefit from the wonderful programs offered by Partners in Outreach.”
Cornacchio added, “Realizing that an organization that is 100 percent volunteer-run manages this level of support is nothing short of inspiring and underscores the incredible dedication of everyone involved with Partners in Outreach.”
Emphasizing how the experience shaped their view of service, Cornacchio continued, “Being a true community partner means investing our time and energy in giving back. It’s about building relationships and supporting the vital work of organizations that are on the ground, making a difference every single day. Seeing our team come together to support Partners in Outreach reinforces our shared purpose and strengthens our connection to the community we are so proud to serve.”
PNC: Local Action, Lasting Impact
At PNC, supporting local causes is woven into the company’s mission—and for a second year in a row, employees stepped in to help Partners in Outreach prepare for Operation Easter Basket.
“We sorted wholesale inventory into the respective age brackets and product set,” explained Joseph Lubanski, a PNC Team Leader. “This process will help to streamline the creation of Easter baskets through assembly lines.”
The connection to the community is what makes this work so meaningful, according to Lubanski.
