Former VISTA Superstar Launches ‘veri cheri’ to Empower Girls with Sparkle and Self-Worth

From the Chaddsford Winery, Lauren Oblak launches veri cheri, a sparkly new venture helping girls build confidence and self-worth.

After a decade in the wine industry as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Chaddsford Winery, former VISTA Millennial Superstar Lauren Oblak is transitioning into a venture of her own.

What’s fun, pink, and red all over? It’s veri cheri, an empowering project focused on boosting the confidence and self-expression of young girls aged 8-14.

While based in Conshohocken, veri cheri is available anywhere girls gather. Oblak says, “If you bring the guests, we’ll bring the magic.” From pop-up parties and workshops to self-care kits and more, this one-of-a-kind experience is transformational.

Veri cheri started as a vision late one night, soon taking off into a passion inspired by her own daughter. Oblak wanted to create something meaningful that might impact girls before the world tries to tell them who they should be.

The core of the brand is an experiential bridge between self-care and self-worth, using products like lip gloss and nail stickers to jumpstart a conversation about true beauty: the glow that comes from within.

Oblak strives to make each event unique and personable, designing everything from activities to signage, sourcing products, and most importantly, creating mantras built to boost the confidence of attendees. Girls recite affirmations, short reminders that help them quiet the noise and tune into their worth. Then, self-expression comes into play when picking items for their self-care kits.

“Think of it as an experience that’s wrapped in sparkle, but rooted in substance,” she said.

Since starting veri cheri, Oblak has connected with local moms and their daughters, planting seeds of self-assuredness and possibility into the hearts of young women. She dreams of a time when her business grows into a movement that reaches every heart.

“Ultimately, I want girls to see that self-care and self-worth can coexist — that they can love sparkly lip gloss and still know their worth runs way deeper than how they look wearing it,” said Oblak.

With much societal pressure on young girls, veri cheri aims to be a joyful place of pause, a place to look inward, consider how differences can be strengths, and connect with their peers on a deeper level.
