Lauren Oblak, who grew up in Montgomery County, is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Chaddsford Winery, one of the oldest and most highly regarded wineries in Pennsylvania.

Oblak — whose first jobs were babysitting, as well as washing dishes at a local bakery, when she was 16 years old — earned a bachelor’s degree in English and History from the University of Richmond.

She credits Corey Krejcik, Vice President and General Manager of Chaddsford Winery, for having the biggest impact on her career.

“Corey is my current manager but has also served as a mentor to me for nearly a decade,” said Oblak. “I worked for Corey at a healthcare communications company prior to joining him at Chaddsford, and from the very early days of joining his team, I was drawn to the passion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude he brought to work each day. Thanks to his leadership, I have evolved professionally. I am better at turning problems into opportunities, at identifying and negotiating business partnerships, and — perhaps most importantly — at believing in my own capabilities.”

Oblak’s proudest professional achievement was running a short-lived stationery business to help customers design invitations and announcements for major life events.

“I enjoyed the entrepreneurial freedom that came with running my own business and became a stronger, more well-rounded professional by navigating its many challenges,” she said. “Earning ‘top vendor’ honors on some of the well-known wedding websites from brides I had worked with was the crowning jewel of that experience.”

Oblak enjoys a number of spots in Chester County, particularly Terrain in Devon, Nectar in Berwyn, Kennett Brewing Company, and Gemelli Café in West Chester.

Oblak and the rest of the 2022 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration held outdoors on Tuesday, May 10 at Penn State Great Valley. The in-person event will feature food trucks, drinks, touchless registration, a VIP tent, and boundless opportunities to network. It will also be live-streamed.
