Central Bucks Elementary and Middle Schools Move Up in National Ranking

Many elementary and middle schools in Central Bucks placed in or near the top third in U.S. News & World Report’s recent national rankings.

Most Central Bucks elementary and middle schools have ranked in or near the top third in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 national rankings, writes Ed Doyle for TAPinto Doylestown.

The 2026 Best Elementary and Middle Schools rankings cover approximately 47,000 public elementary schools and more than 23,000 middle schools, using publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Education. These rankings measure students’ proficiency in mathematics and reading/language arts based on state assessments.

The rankings include over 1,500 elementary schools and nearly 900 middle schools in Pennsylvania.

Doyle Elementary School ranked highest in the state at No. 248, which is a significant improvement from No. 317 last year. Gayman Elementary School followed at No. 271, jumping from No. 425, while Kutz Elementary School rose to No. 316, up from No. 361.

Holicong Middle School led Central Bucks at No. 129 in the state, up from No. 188. Tamanend Middle School followed at No. 164, climbing from No. 279. Meanwhile, Tohickon Middle School rose to No. 182 from No. 219.
