Recovery Centers of America, which was established a decade ago with its Devon facility, plans to open multiple new locations and broaden mental health services, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The King of Prussia company’s growth plan, including a partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles, aims to expand its reach and bring it closer to its original mission of helping a million people struggling with substance abuse.
So far, the company has treated over 80,000 patients.
“We have a bold mission, but we believe in it,” said CEO Brett Cohen.
The growth strategy calls for the opening of new inpatient and outpatient sites as well as expanding care beyond treatment of substance abuse to include other mental health disorders like anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
Recovery Centers of America has also signed a multiyear corporate partnership with the Eagles to boost its brand awareness. Cohen credited the staff at the Devon care center with pushing for the connection with the Birds.
“The deal is not just about advertising,” he said. “It’s built around improving access to care, and reducing the stigma surrounding addiction.”
