Sometimes a scenic at-home estate wedding is all one needs for a picture-perfect wedding day, writes Emily Goulet for Philadelphia.
With an often-overwhelming number of choices to make in the wedding planning process, many couples opt to have a private estate wedding at their own home, or that of a friend or family member.
For two Chester County couples, local estates provided the perfect backdrop for their big day.
For Devon couple Alexandra Debbas and Stephen Steinruck, this included their home that is currently under construction. The couple held their recent ceremony in their front yard with twenty-eight guests attending.
The intimate wedding then moved across the street to Aly’s father’s home for the reception. The couple spent the rest of the evening stargazing under twinkling lights to end the night surrounded by gorgeous Chester County nature.
Nearby, bride Abbey Rouse secured her dream venue with the Soledad Mansion in Exton.
Rouse had walked by the mansion throughout her childhood and hoped to eventually have her wedding there. The property owners are close family friends of Rouse’s family, and her dream became a reality.
The sprawling estate’s fountains and gardens gave the event a chic garden party aesthetic. A dance floor and cigar lounge made the at-home celebration both elegant and personal for the bride and groom.
