Downingtown Man Lost Eagles Bet to His Kids, and Had to Get This Tattoo

Michael Kazanjian, left, with a friend who wore a matching (fake) tattoo.

Michael Kazanjian, a 45-year-old Downingtown resident, recently got his first tattoo following an Eagles wager he lost to his own children, writes Ariel Simpson for The Philadelphia Inquirer

The lifelong fan told his kids, Atticus, Elise, and Clark, that he would get a tattoo of Chester Cheetah wearing a Jalen Hurts jersey if the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. He also told them they could pick the design.

“None of the kids mentioned it to me during the game, but it definitely was in the back of my mind,” said Kazanjian. “There was no part of me that said, ‘I want the Eagles to lose.’ Like, I’ll get the tattoo if they win. But I definitely was like, ‘How soon am I going to have to do this?’”

His children remembered as soon as the game ended, and he had no choice but to pay his dues, getting the tattoo on April 1.

However, getting used to it is taking some time.

“I’ll get out of the shower and look in the mirror and be like, ‘Oh my God,’” he said. “It’ll definitely catch me off guard from time to time.”
