Delco Steaks is holding a Sept. 28 grand opening celebration for its new shop that opened earlier this month at the former Phastbreak Cheesesteaks at 158 Baltimore Pike in Springfield, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.
The event will include food specials and a visit from Dan “Killer” Kennedy, five-time champion of the annual Delco Steaks’ Cheesesteak bowl, who will face a Delco Pockets challenge.
This will be the company’s first location to offer a dine-in option.
Delco Steaks opened its first shop at 2567 West Chester Pike in Broomall, then followed up with a second shop in Ridley Township that includes the DelcoLand miniature golf course.
They are best known for their prime beef, chicken, or portabella mushroom vegetarian steak sandwiches.
“Every location is on the same page and its menu items are a mirror image of every other location,” explained head cook Rob Reynolds. “We have weekly meetings to be sure that what you get in Broomall is the same as you get in Ridley and Springfield.”
Delco Steaks was founded in 2020 at the Broomall location by two friends, Nick Reynolds and John McKenzie, who also own the Splash Swim Club and Marple Public House.
