Chester County is home to four towns that are ranked among the 15 most expensive places to buy a home in Greater Philadelphia, according to a recently released ranking by Stacker.
To compile the list, Stacker used data from Zillow, which compared a total of 235 cities and towns.
Devon tops the list as the most expensive housing market in the state, with a median home value of $968,584. This reflects a 4.5 percent increase in one year and a 52.3 percent rise over five years.
Berwyn followed in second place with a median home value of $939,861, which is a one-year growth of 6.0 percent and a five-year increase of 49.2 percent.
Malvern also made the top ten in eighth place, with a typical home value of $794,001, representing a one-year price change of 5.0 percent and a five-year price change of 45.1 percent.
Chester Springs ranked No. 11 with an average home value of $754,140, reflecting a 3.5 percent one-year price change and a 49.7 percent five-year change.
