Malvern resident Darci Henry is a makeup mastermind, running her boutique makeup line with an entrepreneurial spirit, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.
Henry grew up on a Central Pennsylvania farm, which had been in her family for 200 years. Her family life was modest, full of love, fun, and hard work. She spent much of her time working in the fields, baling hay, and picking corn.
Since childhood, Henry loved how people were able to transform and express themselves through makeup. Inspired by a cornflower plant that grew on the family farm, which has anti-inflammatory qualities, she launched her makeup line Darci Henry Beauty in 2013.
“All my products are made in the United States, and healthy ingredients have always been my focus. People try to buy only organic foods at the grocery store, but then they don’t realize what they’re putting on their face,” Henry said.
Henry has her hands in every part of the production process, with scientists making custom formulas for her products that she hand-picks. She stays up to date with the latest beauty trends, as she knows she must always be evolving as a business owner.
