Beauty Tech Inventor, Her West Chester Grad Fiancé Audition for ‘Shark Tank’
Malha Bly, a beauty tech inventor, and her West Chester University graduate fiancé Charlton Hollenbach recently auditioned for Shark Tank in the hopes of getting funding for their ecosystem for creating hyper-customized products for hair and skincare, writes Justin Strawser for The Daily Item.
Bly, who is the CEO and founder of Cosmixxology, and Hollenbach, her business partner, auditioned for the 15th season of the hit ABC show on July 7. Although they are not able to disclose how their audition went until the season airs in March, the Las Vegas residents said they are looking forward to their invention’s future.
“We’re very excited,” said Bly. “I’m making more and more contacts from people who want to be involved.”
“I’m ecstatic and I’m nervous,” added Hollenbach.
Bly first decided to create her own products while she was working with her “daughter’s difficult hair.” Soon, she started her own line, Couture Maine Concepts. She also opened The Hair Gym in 2015, which helped her create Cosmixxology.
The patented ecosystem allows both professionals and novices to analyze and customize natural hair and skincare products.
