In 2025, SCORE Chester and Delaware Counties shines a light on its promise of over 60 years to help small businesses build, grow, and thrive ‘for the life of your business.’
At this year’s 15th annual awards event, four entrepreneurs were celebrated for their accomplishments, each at different stages of business development, working closely with their SCORE mentors.

Lisa Bussom, SCORE Mentor and Awards Program Leader, described the business lifecycle concept.
“The startup phase is exciting, full of ideas and energy. As a business grows, it is building, hiring, gaining traction, and getting real in the marketplace. During a transition of an established business, owners may find themselves planning an exit, handing off the business, or reinventing it.”
Client success and client recognition are very important to SCORE.
On June 10th, SCORE volunteers gathered with 2025 award nominees, local community partners, sponsors, and political leaders at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester to honor one startup, two growth businesses, and an established firm in transition.
The 2025 award winners were selected from a group of clients nominated by their SCORE mentors.
Each business case was reviewed by a volunteer team to assess the mission, unique value proposition, path to success, how SCORE mentoring helped, and an update on the business’ progress today. These organizations represent diverse backgrounds, various business models, and industries.
