Freedom Village at Brandywine continues to foster community connection through its successful Spotlight Series, an initiative developed and led by resident and community liaison Ben LaGarde, by welcoming Chester County Commissioners Josh Maxwell, Marian Moskowitz, and Eric Roe, along with Chester County CEO David Byerman.
During their visit, the officials addressed a packed auditorium of over 200 residents, listening to their concerns, sharing updates on local issues, and providing information about services available through the Chester County Department of Aging Services.
Earlier this year, the series debuted with its inaugural guest, Pennsylvania State Senator Katie Muth, who engaged residents in a robust conversation about state and local issues that matter most to them.
Launched by Ben LaGarde, the Spotlight Series was created to strengthen direct communication between Freedom Village residents and their elected officials. With Freedom Village representing a significant voice in Chester County and the state of Pennsylvania, the series offers a platform for building meaningful relationships between the community and public leaders.
“This series was born out of the desire to connect our residents directly with the people and organizations shaping the policies that impact their daily lives,” said LaGarde. “We’re proud of how engaged our community has been, and we’re excited to keep growing these conversations.”
With overwhelming resident turnout and enthusiastic participation from guest speakers, the Spotlight Series is quickly becoming a cornerstone of community life at Freedom Village.
