- Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times.
- Perform kitchen activities, including ware-washing system set-up and breakdown, dish washing, pot washing, general cleaning duties, food and non-food supplies storage, and prep production.
- Assist serving staff with setting tables and workstation areas as well as clearing tables.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, ware-washing systems, and areas in the kitchen.
- Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
- Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
- Minimum completion of high school required.
- Experience in food service work is preferred.
- Experience in working with seniors preferred.

Part-Time Driver
Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Driver to join its team. It is looking to fill the position part-time, with working hours Monday to Thursday, 10 AM to 4 PM. This position is responsible for transporting residents to grocery stores, monthly outings, and extended trips as scheduled and assists in performing housekeeping duties as required.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver:
- Drive a van, bus, or automobile on a regular schedule to meet resident needs.
- Assist the Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off the bus/van, tracking attendance, and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes, etc.).
- Load groceries and other purchased items into the bus/van.
- Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
- Clean and wash vehicle.
- May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
- Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
Here are a few of the qualifications you need to have:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of six (6) months of experience as a bus/van driver is required.
- Impeccable driving history is required.
- An active Driver’s License is required.
- Senior Transport experience preferred.
- Experience driving a variety of different-sized vehicles is preferred.

Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Skilled Nursing
The position starts at $45/hr plus differential. The actual salary may fall outside of the posted salary range as it is dependent on skills and experience.
Freedom Village is also in need of RN Supervisors every weekend on the first and 2nd shifts and offers flexible scheduling.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
- Administer direct care as necessary.
- Give and receive shift reports.
- Round twice a shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
- Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Respond to resident emergency call system.
- Interact with other disciplines to ensure continuity of care and services.
- Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
- Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN with a current license in Pennsylvania.
- At least 1 year of experience in geriatric nursing Long Term Care (LTC) is a plus.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
