Chester County OIC Hosts ‘Walking Free at Last’ Reentry Event Apr. 8 for Second Chance Month

Join Chester County OIC for "Walking Free at Last," a two-day reentry event supporting individuals transitioning after incarceration.

The Chester County Opportunities Industrialization Center (Chester County OIC) will host the “Walking Free at Last” Reentry Event, a two-day initiative aimed at supporting individuals transitioning back into society after incarceration. This event, held in honor of Second Chance Month (April), will focus on raising awareness and expanding access to economic opportunities for Chester County residents navigating the reentry process.

Event Details

Tuesday, Apr. 8, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM: Ticketed Event at The Arches (600 E. Chestnut Street, Coatesville)

  • Brunch, film screening, and a panel discussion with the filmmaker.
  • Keynote Speaker: Shuja Moore of Do Moore Films, sharing his reentry story and advocacy work.

Wednesday, Apr. 9, 12-2:00 PM: Community Resource Fair at Made in Coatesville (228 Lincoln Hwy. East, Coatesville)

  • Free and open to the public.
  • An opportunity for attendees to connect with local organizations, access resources, and take actionable steps toward their goals.

At this event, attendees can expect workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities to support individuals seeking a fresh start. Attendees will learn about job training programs, housing resources, and legal services available to help on their journey to successful reentry.
