Deputy Sheriff I
This position will protect the judge and courtroom personnel during criminal trials, maintain custody and control of prisoners, and process background checks for firearm permits. Other duties include completing prisoner extraditions and transports, completing detailed and accurate reports or reportable incidents, and performing other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and their Act 120 Police Academy training certification not more than five years prior to the employment date, or five years of law enforcement experience. Candidates should maintain firearms qualification and CPR and EMS provider-level certifications. Candidates should have knowledge of criminal and civil law and training in defensive and security tactics.

ID Supports Coordinator
This position provides case management services to a group of clients with intellectual disabilities living in various community living arrangement programs or their own homes throughout the county. Duties include assessing client needs and developing proposed services plans/life management plans, monitoring client programs, and maintaining records, correspondence, service plans, and authorizations for each client. Other responsibilities involve having weekly supervisor conferences and preparing monthly case management statistics.
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a social welfare or social work major or equivalent. Candidates are required to have current Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances. Preferably, candidates should have two years of experience in the human services field and experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities.

Driver
This position will take care of paratransit services throughout the county by operating a van/bus to transport passengers in a safe and courteous manner according to the provided daily manifest. Duties include preparing for daily run by reporting to Dispatch at the scheduled time, maintaining safe conditions by complying with traffic regulations, assisting passengers requiring aid, and complying with all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates.
The ideal candidate does not need a high school diploma or GED, but it is preferred. While no prior experience is necessary, candidates must be 21 years or older, have knowledge of safe driving practices and demonstrated ability, and be able to understand and adhere to county and department rules, procedures, directions, and funding guidelines. Other requirements include the ability to maintain confidential information, maintaining logs and records, and be able to work various shifts and days.
