The conference featured insightful presentations from industry experts, including Karen Wilwol, executive director of the Delaware County Conservation District (DCCD), who provided valuable information on watershed management and the conservation of natural resources.

Jeremy Hancher, manager of the Environmental Management Assistance Program (EMAP) at Widener University’s Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center, shared case studies showcasing practical, eco-friendly strategies for small businesses.

Maureen Casey, president and CEO of Dunwoody Village, highlighted Dunwoody’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and shared a video, created by Shoemaker Films of Newtown Square, featuring many of Dunwoody’s initiatives.

“Providing opportunities for local businesses to not only learn from experts but to also share best practices with one another is essential to taking sustainability in a positive direction,” says Sheila O’Sullivan Feeney, chair of Newtown Township’s Environmental Advisory Council. “We are fortunate to have a strong partnership with the Newtown Square Business Association, led by President Sheila Turner-Hilliard. There’s so much being done; but there’s always more we can do.”
