Winter is coming to a close and spring is right around the corner. You can enjoy the incoming warm weather at these March events in Chester County, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.
Sweet Charity is a delicious fundraiser that is taking place on March 4th in Downingtown. The “sweetest event of the year” benefits the Chester County Community Foundation. This fun-filled event will take place at Downingtown Country Club from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM. A dessert competition will be held, with guests voting on their favorite treat.
Bistro French Culinary Evening will teach you how to get cooking. Held at the Wayne Art Center on March 6, attendees will learn how to make a decadent five-course French dinner. Sip on a glass of wine while you chop, dice, and stir up goodness. The menu features pan-seared halibut, balsamic beet salad, root vegetable soup, duck breast with wild berry sauce, and ice cream fille profiterole.
Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour will return to Immaculata University on March 7 and 8. Award-winning films will be featured, all with themes of adventure and environmental issues. Advanced tickets are $19.95. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and films begin one hour later.
The WCU Jazz Festival will celebrate its 35th year from March 19 – 22. This upbeat jazz festival highlights West Chester University students and faculty. Guests will also enjoy a performance by Steve Wilson.
