Actor Mark Ruffalo has been spotted in Newtown Square, at the A Cut Above Deli, writes Jesse Bunch for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Ruffalo, known for the Marvel films who now has a best supporting actor nomination in “Poor Things” also happens to be starring in the sequel to “Mare of Easttown.” Crews were in Ridley shooting scenes last weekend.

Last Wednesday, Marple resident Mike Gentile, 37, stopped for lunch at the deli and found himself steps away from Ruffalo, unaware he was starring in the new series.

He thanked the actor for his work in the Marvel films and said he goes to all the Marvel premieres by himself.

“[Ruffalo] was just thanking me for feeding his kids and making me laugh,” Gentile said.

The actor, who ordered a hoagie, shared he was in town for the “Mare” followup, “Task”.

In a January interview, Ruffalo said he plays the head of an FBI unit that’s “badly damaged but fighting for good.”

Nicholas Carneglia, manager of A Cut Above, described Ruffalo as sociable even though he was incognito.

Carneglia managed to keep his cool.

Apparently, M. Night Shyamalan is a Cut Above customer, along with members of the Phillies and Sixers.
