Chellas Arepa Kitchen in nearby Lancaster is a tiny food truck that boasts big flavor. Arepas are an authentic South American cuisine, a type of flatbread that is heartily stuffed with some kind of filling.
Chellas Arepa Kitchen knows how to do arepas right and there are plenty of options to choose from. Some popular fillings are their honey-roasted BBQ and their grilled chicken chimichurri.
The arepa recipes are also available in a bowl. Delicious sides can be paired with your arepa, such as guacamole and chips or yuca fries.
One Yelper said: “What a spot! Tucked behind a Costco lot you’ll find the little Chellas food truck, but they’re pumping out some big eats. These servings were huge! We were blown away by how flavorful everything was. Absolute perfection! We tried the guac, plantains, and yuca fries, which were all tasty. Definitely a must try if you’re nearby!”
The food truck is owned and operated by a pair of brothers, Diego and Lewis Quiroz. The food truck’s name and recipes are credited to their grandmother, Chella. Since the business’ inception in 2018, Chellas Arepa Kitchen has steadily climbed Yelp’s best restaurant lists.
