Following her Grammy wins earlier this month, Quakertown native Sabrina Carpenter announced a Valentine’s Day surprise for her fans, writes Anna Kaufman for the Bucks County Courier Times.
The singer will release a deluxe version of her popular album Short n’ Sweet on February 14, featuring five new tracks, including a duet version of her summer smash hit Please Please Please with country legend Dolly Parton.
Other new songs on the album include 15 Minutes, Couldn’t Make It Any Harder, Busy Woman, and Bad Reviews.
The songstress’ collaboration with Parton feels almost inevitable, as Carpenter’s aesthetic, defined by bold sensuality and a nod to 1950s pin-up glam, mirrors the iconic imagery associated with the country music star.
Carpenter’s latest announcement follows a blockbuster year for the singer. Her role as an opener for Taylor Swift at the start of the Eras Tour propelled her budding fame, paving the way for a massive tour of her own after the release of Short n’ Sweet.
She received critical acclaim after winning Grammy Awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album on February 2.
