
Delaware County Community College’s (DCCC) Live Music Series will present Grammy-nominated Tenor Brian Giebler in an intimate performance on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7:00 PM in the Large Auditorium, Academic Building at the College’s Marple Campus (910 South Media Line Road, Media).
A Phoenixville native, Giebler has garnered praise for his “lovely tone and deep expressivity” (The New York Times) and is celebrated for his ability to infuse every phrase with “shine and clarity” (Opera News), making him one of today’s most sought-after tenors.
The concert, Songs of the Human Spirit: Love, Nature, and Transformation, will feature a rich program that spans time and emotion, with works from composers including Peter Warlock, Ivor Gurney, John Ireland, Benjamin Britten, and Clarice Assad. The performance explores the universal themes of love, longing, and human connection to nature, offering a powerful and emotional musical experience. Giebler’s performance will be accompanied by piano, creating a dynamic and intimate atmosphere.
Following the performance, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artist during a Q&A session, providing a unique chance to delve deeper into the music and creative process behind the concert.
