Sumita Pandit, CFO of Radian Group, is set to assume the additional role of president of the Wayne-based company’s mortgage insurance unit, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The expanded role follows the announced retirement of Derek Brummer, which will take effect on July 3. Brummer joined the company in 2002 as chief risk officer and general counsel for its financial guaranty company. He became Radian’s chief risk officer eleven years later and was appointed president of mortgage insurance in 2018.
In her expanded role, Pandit will oversee all aspects of Radian’s mortgage insurance business while continuing her current CFO responsibilities.
Pandit, an MBA graduate from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, joined the Chester County company in March 2023 as its first chief growth officer. Less than a year later, she was named CFO following the termination of J. Franklin Hall’s employment.
Before joining Radian, Pandit served as chief operating officer of dLocal, a San Francisco-based financial technology company. She also worked in several executive positions at JPMorgan Chase from 2015 to 2021, including as global head of fintech investment banking.
