Nudy’s Cafe, with 14 locations already in the Philadelphia suburbs, including Malvern and Eagleview, is continuing its expansion with a new restaurant in Glen Mills, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Owner Ray Nudy, who has more growth planned for the future, is hoping that the restaurant will be ready to open this week.
The new eatery will be located in the former Bryn Mawr Trust bank branch. Nudy said his company specifically targets former bank branches for expansion, as they are standalone buildings with ample parking, often situated at major intersections. Malvern and Eagleview restaurants are both set in former bank branches.
The newest location is on a busy stretch of Baltimore Pike, not far from the chain’s sites in Havertown and Chadds Ford. This strategic positioning increases the likelihood that the locals will already be familiar with the brand.
“We get a nice start with business that way,” said Nudy.
The Glens Mills location will seat around 70 people and offer the same design and food as the chain’s other restaurants.
Nudy plans to “constantly grow” the brand by adding around two new locations each year.
