Bucks County horticultural students are ready to impress visitors at the 2025 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show with two innovative exhibits inspired by the theme Gardens of Tomorrow, writes Tom Haines for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Bucks County Community College’s Floral Design Program will debut at the show with a student-created exhibition that showcases nine futuristic floral and sculpture installations.
Meanwhile, students from Delaware Valley University in Doylestown will present their vision of 2150 with Into the Clouds, an exhibit where digital gardening landscapes seamlessly merge technology and ecology.
The Entrance Garden, designed by PHS, is titled Future Florentia and aims to showcase flowers as symbols of the future, highlighting growth, beauty, and vitality in a natural, poetic style.
“At the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, our purpose is using horticulture to foster a healthier, more sustainable, more beautiful future,” said Matt Rader, president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. “The 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show, Gardens of Tomorrow, showcases the power of plants, sustainability, and innovation.”
The 196th PHS Philadelphia Flower Show will take place from March 1 to 9 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Arch Street in Center City.
