Mike Ward, who bought the house with his wife, Erin, two years ago, said the 1959 structure “takes you back to another time.”

Surrounded by a dense tree canopy, “It feels like you’re in the woods,” he added.

The couple, who are moving to a larger place in Chalfont, bought the home while it was already in good shape, but they also did considerable work on it, much of it with the help of Mike’s father, a carpenter.

The family replaced the roof, added new air-conditioning and a water filtration system, and updated the electrical panel. They also leveled the backyard to make it possible to add an above ground pool sometime in the future.

The kitchen was updated. It features quartz countertops and white cabinetry, along with recessed and pendant lighting. Meanwhile, the three-season sunroom offers beautiful views of the backyard.

The main-level primary suite boasts large walk-in closets and a full bath.

The house also features a two-car garage and an unfinished basement.
