A new report ranking the 100 best cities in the world based on livability, lovability, and prosperity includes the City of Brotherly Love as one of them.

Philadelphia ranked No. 43 overall on the list.

Described as “a dense, cataloged embodiment of Americana,” Philadelphia is known for being easily accessible and eagerly shared.

Whether it’s walking around the Old City cobblestones or breathing in the urban green of Fairmount Park, Philadelphia is full of experiences.

Philadelphia ranks No. 17 in the Parks & Recreation subcategory, a ranking aided by the city’s walkability. The city’s museums ranked No. 43 globally with recent investments like the 90,000 square feet of new public and exhibition space at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The city has also seen a number of important exhibits open up, such as Disney100 and Wondrous Space at The Franklin Institute, and Black Founders: The Forten Family of Philadelphia at the Museum of the American Revolution.

Philly also can’t be discussed without mentioning its culinary status. It ranks No. 44 for restaurants and is home to more restaurant and chef awards than any other at the 2023 James Beard Foundation awards.

Lastly, the city being home to the Ivy League icon, the University of Pennsylvania is another earned distinction.
