Local Coatesville community leaders discussed economic growth and future planning at the Annual Coatesville-area Economic Forum.

Earlier this month, over one hundred Coatesville community members convened for the second Annual Coatesville-area Economic (ACE) Forum, writes Monica Ferguson for 19320 GO!

The forum occurred on Nov. 1 at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus and featured government officials, business owners, and other members of the greater Coatesville community. The goal of the forum was to focus on current challenges and future investment opportunities for the city, with topics ranging from homeownership costs to infrastructure plans.

This year, the ACE Forum featured a notable increase in female voices, with additional panel discussions covering workforce development and small business growth.

This year’s forum comes at a time of extreme economic growth for Coatesville. With $82 million invested in the city’s infrastructure, construction on the Coatesville Train Station is expected to be completed in 2025, with additional improvements planned for Lincoln Highway and its surrounding intersections.

As the ACE Forum concluded, Coatesville City Manager James Logan described the city’s “new era”, emphasizing even more future opportunities as the community looks to continue its period of economic success.
